The central monitor can effectively monitor some important physiological and biochemical indexes of human body, and can continuously or continuously monitor these physiological indexes according to the needs, and store these monitoring information for medical staff to refer to. Therefore, the central monitor is one of the most important medical equipments in hospitals. So, what are the basic functions of the monitor?
1. Signal acquisition function
In order to display various physiological and biochemical parameters of human body in the form of words, figures or charts, it is necessary to collect relevant information for monitoring instruments and equipment. This process is completed by electrodes and transducers that can detect physiological and biochemical parameters, including various electrodes and pressure transducers for measuring ECG and EEG. In which the transducer picks up physiological or biochemical signals and outputs electrical signals.
2. Analog processing function
Only collecting data information can not achieve the purpose of monitoring, and it should be processed accordingly, so that volunteers can effectively judge the patient's physiological index data. Therefore, the monitor has analog processing function, and the analog circuit in the instrument processes the collected electrical signals accordingly, such as impedance matching, filtering and amplifying, and then converts them into digital signals through the A/D converter.
3. Digital processing output function
After the collected signals are converted into digital signals, the monitor will transmit the digital signals to the computer for calculation, comparison, analysis and storage. After the computer analyzes and processes the signal, it can be displayed on the display, and it can also be output by printing and audible alarm.
The basic functions of the monitor have been introduced to everyone. Because the monitor has these functions, it can effectively monitor the patient's physical condition. Moreover, these detection data can provide effective basis for the diagnosis of medical staff. Therefore, hospitals generally introduce central monitors for use.
