Monitor manufacturer

Defibrillation monitor is a kind of first aid equipment, which is widely used in hospitals, airports, schools (70% of people in foreign countries will operate AED, so people will be equipped in places where people gather). It is also one of the essential first-aid equipment in emergency centers for diseases, emergency departments of hospitals at all levels, ICU, CCU, operating rooms and other institutions and other accident rescue sites. Defibrillation monitors are mainly used for cardiac diseases that can be fatal in a short time, such as arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation and ventricular fibrillation.Monitor manufacturers

In addition to the basic functions of defibrillation, more advanced monitoring functions such as ECG, blood oxygen saturation and other aspects of human life cycle are added, which is called defibrillation monitor. At present, the equipment with defibrillation function is collectively called defibrillation monitor by general monitor manufacturers

Some hospitals' neurology departments, geriatric wards, hemodialysis centers, etc. are equipped with this kind of equipment one after another, which is of great significance for saving the lives of acute and severe patients. However, due to the infrequent use of such equipment and the lack of inspection and maintenance of some equipment, failure can not be eliminated in time, which will directly affect the rescue work. The following is a brief introduction to the common faults and solutions of defibrillation monitors.

1. Low voltage power supply (or battery) problem

Most defibrillation monitors are both AC and DC. When AC power is used, the internal circuit automatically switches to AC/DC function and charges the battery at the same time. When there is no AC power supply or going out for first aid, the battery can be used for power supply. Different battery capacity, different monitoring time or defibrillation times are clearly stated in the general user manual.

Phenomenon: The main functions are unresponsive after starting up (for example, the monitor is black, unable to defibrillation, unable to record).

Judgment and maintenance: Most of the above phenomena are low voltage power supply problems. If the battery still works, it is usually an AC/DC circuit problem. If alternating current can be used but the battery cannot be used, the battery may be under-charged or failed. Some defibrillation monitors can only use batteries, and this battery has a capacity indicator, so the operator can easily judge the battery capacity. The problem of low-voltage power supply itself cannot be eliminated by medical staff, and can only be repaired by engineers and technicians.

2. Monitor or recorder problems

Phenomenon: Another common problem of defibrillation monitor is that the monitor only displays a straight line without ECG display.

Judgment and maintenance: There are many reasons for this situation. First, the electrode is in poor contact with the human body or falls off; Second, ECG threshold is set improperly. Third, the lead line has breakpoints; Fourth, the monitor itself has a circuit failure, etc. If there is no ECG display and ECG waveform can not be recorded, the faults are mostly caused before the signal operation circuit or by human operation, or the recorder itself may have faults; If there is no ECG display, but ECG waveform can be recorded, it is mostly display circuit fault, and it is a non-human operation fault, which needs to be solved by engineers and technicians.

3. Defibrillation unit problem

Phenomenon: The monitoring function and recording function are normal, but defibrillation is impossible, or the charge-shock cycle speed is slow.

Judgment and maintenance: This phenomenon is generally not caused by human operation, but the fault of high voltage charging and discharging circuit or the problem of energy storage element itself. If the electric shock is normal, only the charging speed is slow, and most of them are charging circuit failures; If it can be charged but cannot be shocked, there is something wrong with the discharge circuit. It is rare for energy storage components (high voltage capacitors) to be damaged.

4. The problem of signal processing arithmetic unit (motherboard)

Phenomena: During use, some phenomena are encountered, such as dysfunction, ineffective keys, inability to set and change parameters, etc.

Judgment and maintenance: Most of these cases are failures of central control unit (also called motherboard or motherboard), and most of them are hard failures. For medical staff, there is nothing they can do, and sometimes there is nothing they can do for engineers and technicians. Because the mainboard is mainly composed of large-scale integrated circuits and patch components, it can not be repaired generally, so it can only be replaced by contacting companies and manufacturers.

5. Electromagnetic interference

Phenomenon: screen display waveform disorder, character jitter, etc.

Judgment and maintenance: Defibrillation monitors have taken shielding measures and have certain anti-interference ability. However, cell phones, information technology equipment and radio/television transmission systems sometimes affect the monitoring defibrillation function of the equipment. At this time, it is necessary to judge the source of interference as soon as possible and take corresponding measures to ensure the normal use of the equipment.
