A protein can predict the risk of stroke in women
Recently, Harvard University School of Medicine researchers found a blood called β-2 microglobulin protein, it can predict the risk of stroke in women.
EEG researchers studied blood of 946 women, 473 healthy women, and 473 female patients had ischemic stroke within 9 years. The results showed that β-2 microglobulin in the blood of healthy women was significantly lower than that of women who had a stroke, and in healthy women, women with high β-2 microglobulin had a 52% higher risk of stroke.
EEG machine,The study, published in the Journal of Neurology, says that although the results suggest that the protein is a potential marker for predicting stroke, further tests are needed to prove it.
